Improving some changes I made a few months ago to fix another shelf dnd bug fixed this bug. It’s the CIIIIIIIIRCLLE OF BUUUUUUUGS!
Now they aren’t.
Amazing how much a simple missing ‘!’ can break things.
Now the Navigate menu creates an item to inform the user that there are no listable items.
Now it does.
In some cases we get .desktop files that can’t be resolved to apps. Previously, this led to some failure in the Open With dialog, now it doesn’t.
Know what I love? Fixing the same bug repeatedly.
Know what makes it even better? When it’s a bug caused by the idiocy of an entire toolkit. In the event that they are reading this blog, I have prepared the following statement:
HIDING AN X WINDOW MULTIPLE TIMES SEQUENTIALLY DOES NOT HIDE IT ANY MORE EFFECTIVELY THAN HIDING THE WINDOW ONE TIME.
Other Improvements Today:
- Ctrl+Shift can now be used to trigger the “ASK” DND in filemanager
- Themes can now be changed through the menu
